Luka Jovic has completed his Real Madrid medical as he prepares to be formally unveiled at the Bernabeu on Wednesday.

The Serbian striker completed his £62million move from Frankfurt earlier this month and will wear the club’s iconic white strip for the first time today.

Jovic penned a six-year contract with the Spanish giants as he became their fourth most-expensive signing ever, behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and fellow new boy Eden Hazard.

He will be greeted by the club’s supporters with open arms on Wednesday as they come out in their droves to see him for the first time.

Jovic will be presented in the presidential box at the Bernabeu before he makes his way onto the pitch.

He will then speak to the gathered press afterwards.

The 21-year-old has already completed his medical with a series of tests at the city’s La Moraleja University Hospital.

Jovic established himself as one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe after a brilliant season in Germany.

He bagged 17 goals in 32 appearances in the Bundesliga while adding 10 goals in 14 Europa League matches as Eintracht reached the semi-final stage of the competition.

He will be hoping to carve a place for himself in Zinedine Zidane’s plans for the start of next season.

Zidane is looking to improve his side’s third-place finish and Champions League last-16 exit this coming campaign with a huge overhaul of his squad.

Former Chelsea star Hazard has also joined Jovic after completing a move for an initial £88m last week.

However, Zidane needs to move on a number of players – including Bale and Keylor Navas – if he is to be given the funds he needs to sign his other targets.

The French legend is also reportedly considering a move for either Paul Pogba or Christian Eriksen in the coming weeks.
